Overview
The perinatal mortality rate in NSW in 2022 was 8.6 per 1,000 births. This rate includes all live births, and stillbirths of at least 400 grams birthweight or at least 20 weeks gestation that occurred in NSW. The perinatal mortality rate varied from 1.3 per 1,000 births in Southern NSW Local Health District to 11.7 per 1,000 births in Hunter New England Local Health District.
