Whole of Health Program (WOHP) Mental Health provides strategic assistance to local health districts/specialty health networks (LHDs/SHNs) and other key stakeholders to improve access to care for mental health consumers across the whole patient journey.
Solutions to improving outcomes for those experiencing mental illness and reducing pressure on Emergency Departments (ED) should also focus on initiatives that provide timely access to holistic care in the community, and where possible alternatives to inpatient admission.

The Mental Health Patient Flow Network provides advice and the opportunity to network and share learnings for clinicians and managers involved in mental health patient flow.
