The percentage of Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander women who gave birth in NSW and were teenagers fell from 11.5% in 2018 to 8.6% in 2022. The percentage of non-Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander women who gave birth in NSW and were teenagers fell from 1.5% in 2018 to 1.0% in 2022. The percentage of Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander women who gave birth in NSW aged 35 years or over has increased slightly from 9.9% in 2018 to 10.7% in 2022. The percentage of non-Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander women who gave birth in NSW aged 35 years or over has increased slightly from 25.8% in 2018 to 28.6% in 2022.
