Eligibility for NSW Health Aboriginal Nursing and Midwifery Cadetships

To apply for a NSW Health Aboriginal Nursing and Midwifery Cadetship, you must:

  • be of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander descent
  • be known and accepted in the community that you live or have lived
  • currently be studying or about to study an undergraduate nursing or midwifery degree at university
  • be a resident of NSW (or within 5km of the NSW border)
  • not be eligible for an AHPRA registration as a nurse or midwife (EN / RN / RM).

If you do not meet eligibility for the Aboriginal Nursing and Midwifery Cadetship Program, you may be eligible for the NSW Health Undergraduate Scholarship or Aboriginal Enrolled Nurse to Registered Nurse Scholarship.
