Physical Health and Mental Health Project Grants Program

In 2023, the NSW Ministry of Health funded 3 local projects under the Physical Health and Mental Health Project Grants Program. Districts and Networks were invited to submit one proposal through an EOI process. The successful projects aim to improve physical health outcomes for mental health consumers aligned to the Physical Health Care for People Living with Mental Health Issues [GL2021_006]:

  • Upskilling mental health staff in addressing smoking and vaping in consumers – SES LHD
  • Developing a co-produced and co-delivered program supporting healthy lifestyle and exercise for people with chronic conditions and mental health conditions in regional NSW – MNC LHD
  • Embedding physical health interventions for mental health patients returning to their communities from justice health settings – JHFMHN

The projects will be undertaken in 2023 and evaluated.
