Some populations in NSW experience discrimination, stigma and disadvantage; and often these same groups experience mental health issues at higher rates than the general population.
People within these groups may find it challenging, or have additional challenges when accessing health care. As a result, they may experience more significant impacts of poorer physical health.
Service planners and clinicians should take into account these populations when planning and providing service to ensure that services and programs are tailored to meet the needs of people among these groups.
