Sydney Local Health District covers an area of 126 square kilometres, in the centre and inner west of Sydney. 

Gadigal, Bediagal and Wangal peoples of the Eora Nation are the traditional custodians of the land.

In 2021 the estimated population was 722,492 residents, and over the decade to 2031, the overall population is projected to increase to 855,351. 

The District is home to RPA, Concord, Canterbury, Balmain and Sydney Dental Hospitals as well as a range of integrated healthcare services in the community including community health, mental health, drug health and aged care services.
