Illawarra Shoalhaven Local Health District (ISLHD) covers an area of 5,687 square kilometres, along the coast in NSW
from Helensburgh in the north to North Durras in the south.
Dharawal and Yuin peoples are the traditional custodians of the land, which encompass five language groups: Wadi Wadi, Dharawal, Wandandian, Walbanga and Yuin.
In 2021 the estimated population was 404,000 residents, and over the decade to 2031, the overall population is projected to increase to 470,000.
