Supporting our workforce presented an unprecedented challenge during the COVID-19 pandemic. We needed to ensure that all staff had the skills required to undertake their enhanced roles, had the latest information and, most importantly, felt safe.
Our Tiger Team provided support, ensured staff welfare, offered clinical expertise and delivered just in time education, particularly in relation to PPE and infection control. More than that, Tiger Teams reached into services in our hospitals, community health centres, COVID-19 Testing Clinics, Special Health Accommodation and residential aged care facilities who required support.
This was expanded to include our mask fit testing program and the facilitation of students who undertook their clinical placement at one of our COVID-19 testing clinics.
