Perinatal data refers to data collected around the time of birth, and includes information on mothers and their babies.
This data can be used to report on a range of questions, such as:
- number of births in NSW (or per hospital or local health district)
- average birth weight of babies
- characteristics of newborn babies
- causes of death for newborn babies.
