“Dear diary,
I was lucky enough to be deployed as a registered nurse to Jerilderie Multi-Purpose Service (MPS). It’s on the border of NSW and Victoria in the Riverina area.
It’s a lovely place to work. The staff there are kind, friendly and compassionate. They help one another during difficult times.
Over the years, the hard-working staff have managed to cultivate a beautiful garden at the front of the hospital. As an avid gardener, it was my pleasure to help tend their little piece of paradise during my down time.
During my deployment, I loved being able to go for a stroll around Lake Jerilderie, with its abundance of bird life and wildflowers. It was also lovely visiting the town centre to explore the shops and see the sights. With that said, I did enjoy spending most of my down time in the hospital garden, which was so peaceful. I’ll never forget my deployment in Jerilderie.”
