The 2022 Excellence in Allied Health Awards were held on 23 February 2023 at the spectacular Luna Park on Sydney’s immaculate harbour. The Minister for Health, Bronnie Taylor, the NSW Health Secretary, Susan Pearce, and the Chief Allied Health Officer, Andrew Davison, attended alongside 35 talented finalists and 250 guests from NSW Health. Congratulations to all our winners and finalists. You are all recognised to be leaders at the heart of patient care, every step of the way.

  • Aboriginal Allied Health Professional of the Year: Maddison Williams (Nepean Blue Mountains Local Health District)
  • Early Career Allied Health Professional of the Year: Marina Mansour (Justice Health and Forensic Mental Health Network)
  • Allied Health Researcher of the Year: Associate Professor Grahame Simpson (South West Sydney Local Health District)
  • Allied Health Educator of the Year: Sally Connell (Illawarra Shoalhaven Local Health District)
  • Allied Health Assistant, Technician or Support Person of the Year: Angelica Anna Torrijos (Sydney Children’s Hospital Network)
  • Allied Health Leader of the Year: Rebecca Smith (Far West Local Health District)
