The National Model of Consent for Clinical Genomic Testing has been developed by NSW Ministry of Health on behalf of the Australian Health Minister’s Advisory Council (AHMAC) Project Reference Group on Health Genomics.
The guidance for health professionals was developed to support the national model. It highlights important issues to consider during the consent process and is aligned to the consent form template. It also reflects current clinical and laboratory practice in Australia.
