Vicki Solomon: Our service covers the Kempsey area and we’d noticed that there was a big drop off in referrals and engagement with Aboriginal people. We employed an Aboriginal health worker with strong links to the Aboriginal community in Kempsey, and that helped us to create stronger links.

While we were running the program, we found a big increase in referrals for Aboriginal people.
