Aimee Smith: I’d like to acknowledge the traditional custodians of the lands that we’re gathering on today, the Awabakal people.

The driving force behind our work was to create visibility about how Aboriginal consumers fared accessing our health services.

We created systems and processes to help us use h​ealth data to monitor how Aboriginal people compared to non-Aboriginal people when they accessed healthcare.

Stacey Simpson: Key achievements from the framework include the development of the Closing the Gap strategic plan and development of a suite of Closing the Gap performance measures which are embedded throughout the districts’ operational planning and reporting framework.
