Live Life Well @ School  

Live Life Well @ School supports NSW primary schools to help students build healthy eating habits and get active more often. Get help from a dedicated local Health Promotion Officer (HPO) to support nutrition and physical education actions in place at your school.

​Crunch&Sip®​ supports primary schools to make a daily time for students to eat fruit and vegetables and drink water.

Healthy Living has ideas and tips to help families put together a healthy and balanced school lunchbox​. Find quick and easy recipes​ for lunches like tasty sandwiches, rolls, wraps and snacks from the core food groups for recess and lunch.

Adam Liaw, one of Australia’s favourite chefs, has some quick, easy and affordable lunch ideas you can use to create your own delicious lunchboxes at home. Check out these fact sheets, which are available in English and 39 other languages.

The Heart Foundation has information and ideas about healthy living and eating. It also offers healthy recipes.

Cancer Council NSW has great ideas to help families pack a quick and easy lunch box. Use the healthy lunchbox builder​ to build a healthy lunch box with the 5 food groups.

Nutrition Australia aims to promote healthy eating by providing evidence-based information and education. Find nutrition fact sheets, healthy recipes, and materials developed specifically for schools.

The Australian Government has information about how to read food labels.

Sports Dietitians Australia aims to provide evidence-based sports nutrition information. They have a range of fact sheets, recipes, and a section on nutrition for active adolescents. 

​Government nutrition guidelines and policies 

The Australian Government has developed guidelines to help Australians make healthy eating choices. These are based on evidence about eating and health. Nutrition education in NSW schools is based on these guidelines.
