Centre for Epidemiology and Evidence

​​​The Centre for Epidemiology and Evidence leads on five key areas:

  1. Monitoring and reporting quality information on the health of the population on HealthStats NSW.
  2. Delivering state-wide record linkage services, via the Centre for Health Record Linkage.
  3. Developing the population health workforce through flexible, contemporary workplace programs such as the Public Health, Biostatistics and Aboriginal Population Health training programs.
  4. Strengthening the evidence base on what works by conducting rigorous evaluations of state-wide population health and Aboriginal health programs and translating evidence and information into policy and practice.
  5. Developing and maintaining key population health inform​ation infrastructure, running the acute syndromic surveillance and population health survey and delivering secure data warehousing (Secure Analytics for Population Health Research and Intelligence) to the NSW health system.
