• Employment history

Essential requirements

• Are currently an Australian citizen, permanent resident or hold a valid visa (a visa that allows unrestricted working right). NOTE: Student visas will not be accepted.
• Has not previously worked in Australia as a medical officer or practitioner.
• Passed the Australian Medical Council Computer Adaptive Test (AMC CAT) MCQ Part 1 Examination.
• ​Meets the requirements for the Medical Board of Australia English Language Skills registration standard​ Proof of English language proficiency
• Meets the requirement for the Medical Board of Australia Recency of Practice Registration standard​
• Paid Working With Children Check (WWCC) Must be done in person at Service NSW.
• National Police Check. ​
• Must comply with the NSW Health Policy Directive Recruitment and Selection of Staff to the NSW Health Service. This includes the National Police Check and Working with Children Check. For more information refer to Employment related checks.​
• ​Must comply with vaccination and health check requirements for category A workers as per the Policy Directive Occupational Assessment Screening and Vaccination Against Specific Infectious Disease. For more information refer to Occupational assessment screening and vaccination - FAQ. ​

Supporting documentation checklist

• Resume (maximum three pages).
• Australian citizenship certificate, permanent residency or valid visa (NOTE: Student Visas will not be accepted) (must be certified copy in line with Ahpra policy).
• Australian Medical Council Computer Adaptive Test (AMC CAT) MCQ Part 1 Examination result or AMC Certificate (must be certified copy in line with Ahpra policy).
• Evidence that meets the Medical Board of Australia English Language Skills registration standard Proof of English language proficiency (must be certified copy in line with Ahpra policy).
• Cover letter (maximum two pages) addressing the selection criteria as outlined in the Role description.

Candidates that progress to interview will also need:

• Two written references using the reference check template. 
• The referee must provide contact information including full name, positions, email address and phone number
  
• to complete the WWCC and NPC documentation
  
• ​to complete the vaccination and health check documentation.
