The NSW Health Aboriginal Health Worker Project reviewed the role of Aboriginal Health Workers in NSW Health following the introduction of national registration of Aboriginal Health Practitioners under the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency, which commenced on 1 July 2012.
This discussion paper analyses the current Aboriginal Health Worker environment and outlines a number of themes warranting further investigation.
