The Guidelines provide a framework for defining, implementing and supporting Aboriginal Health Worker roles in NSW Health.
The Guidelines identify Aboriginal Health Worker roles, scopes of practice and education and training pathways and describe the delegation, supervision and support arrangements for Aboriginal Health Workers in NSW Health. The Guidelines also provide information on the training and registration requirements for Aboriginal Health Practitioners, a new role in NSW Health that provides direct clinical services to the aboriginal community.
