As interstate travel restrictions are relaxed and cultural institutions start to open from 1 June, NSW residents need to continue coming forward for COVID-19 testing.
In the last 24-hours, four new cases were confirmed from 7,093 tests.
All cases were overseas acquired, in people quarantining at hotels.
NSW’s daily target for testing is between eight and ten thousand.
The state’s Chief Health Officer Dr Kerry Chant said residents should download the COVIDSafe app to assist in contact tracing.
“It’s likely to help us pick up people you might not remember you were in contact with for that period when you were infectious,” Dr Chant said.
“We are looking forward to fully embracing the COVID App into our contact tracing,” she said.
Dr Chant said if locally acquired cases occur in the future, “we will download the data from that app.”
NSW Health is treating 95 people, with nearly 80% of those in out of hospital care.
Three patients remain in ICU, with two on ventilators.
