NSW records no new cases for the first time

There have been no new cases of COVID-19 recorded in NSW in the last 24-hours, the state’s first zero case day since testing commenced.

With the good news, the NSW community was still reminded not to be complacent and to come forward for testing if they have any symptoms.

“We know that the virus will be bubbling around beneath the surface within the community, so it’s very important that we don’t get complacent”, said the NSW Deputy Chief Health Officer, Dr Jeremy McAnulty.

Dr McAnulty stressed that people who have been tested must isolate at home until they have been tested and cleared of COVID-19.

There are 3,053 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in NSW, with 6,048 tests conducted in the last 24 hours.
