ARCHIVE : Guide to the Role Delineation of Health Services

Summary

Role Delineation is a process which determines the level of support services, staff profile, minimum safety standards and other criteria required to ensure that clinical services are provided safely and are appropriately supported. The Guide provides a consistent language for health care providers and planners to use when describing health services. It is a planning tool for service and capital developments.

The Rural Companion Guide recognises the workforce and resources differences between rural and metropolitan practice. It should assist rural LHDs in the provision of services by encouraging the building of partnerships between facilities and promoting formal networking arrangements.
