The evaluation of the NSW Rural Hearing Conservation Program, a screening and education program for farmers and farm workers, showed that 41% of survey respondents instigated strategies to reduce noise exposure, 25% of those were seeking further hearing consultation based on the program, and 97% said they would recommend the program to other farmers. The program was funded by the Health Promotion Demonstration Research Grants Scheme.
