Overview
In 2022, the overall rate of hypertension in pregnant women who gave birth in NSW was 5.3%. Around 1.9% of pregnant women who gave birth in NSW developed pre-eclampsia, 2.6% developed gestational hypertension, and 1.1% had pre-existing hypertension. This pattern is similar to previous years.
