Public health alert - New and updated venues

NSW Health has been advised of new venues in the Byron Bay region that have been visited by a confirmed case of COVID-19. Advice has also been updated for some previously announced venues.

Anyone who attended the following new venues must immediately get tested and self-isolate until they receive further advice from NSW Health:

There are 18 testing locations in Northern NSW, including:

  • Byron Bay QML Pathology Drive-Through, Cavanbah Sports Ground, 249 Ewingsdale Rd, Byron Bay. Open from 8am to 8pm Monday to Sunday. No referral required.
  • Byron Bay Walk-in Pop-Up Clinic; Byron Bay surf club, Bay St, Byron Bay. Open from 9am to 5pm. No appointment required.
  • Lennox Head QML Pathology Drive-through clinic, Lennox Community Centre, Cnr Park Lane and Mackney Lane, 8am to 8pm Monday to Sunday. No GP referral required.
  • Tweed Heads QML Pathology Drive-through clinic, Cnr Wharf and Florence Street, Tweed Heads, 8am to 8pm Monday to Sunday. No GP referral required.
  • Lismore QML Pathology Drive-through clinic, 354 Keen Street, Lismore. Open from 8am to 7pm, Monday to Sunday.

An additional drive-through clinic has also been established in Ballina today:

  • Ballina Surf Club on Lighthouse Parade, East Ballina, open from 8am to 7pm, Monday to Sunday.

People do not need a referral or a booking to visit any of the drive-through, pop-up or hospital clinics in the region.

NSW Health urges anyone in NSW with even the mildest symptoms, such as headache, fatigue, cough, sore throat or runny nose, to come forward immediately for testing, then isolate until they receive a negative result.
