NSW recorded no new locally acquired cases of COVID-19 in the 24 hours to 8pm last night.
However, an update on developments since 8pm will be provided at 11.30am today.
Three new cases were acquired overseas in the 24 hours to 8pm last night, bringing the total number of cases in NSW since the beginning of the pandemic to 5,102.
There were 17,393 tests reported to 8pm last night, compared with the previous day’s total of 7,303.
A number of new casual contact venues associated with the Queensland cases have been notified.

NSW Health urges everyone in NSW, especially in the Byron Bay and Ballina areas, with even the mildest symptoms, such as headache, fatigue, cough, sore throat or runny nose, to come forward immediately for testing, then isolate until they receive a negative result.

NSW Health is treating 54 COVID-19 cases, none of whom are in ICU. Most cases (94 per cent) are being treated in non-acute, out-of-hospital care, including returned travellers in the Special Health Accommodation.
