NSW Health thanks the community for continuing to follow public health advice and for coming forward for testing.
Although it has been 51 days since the last locally acquired case in NSW, there is still a risk of COVID-19 spreading into the community as new cases are regularly being detected among overseas arrivals.
Everyone must continue to practise COVID-safe behaviours and come forward for testing with even the mildest of symptoms.
NSW Health is treating 54 COVID-19 cases, one of whom is in intensive care and requires a ventilator. Most cases (93 per cent) are being treated in non-acute, out-of-hospital care, including returned travellers in the Special Health Accommodation.
There are more than 350 COVID-19 testing locations across NSW, many of which are open seven days a week. To find your nearest clinic visit
