As at 8pm Sunday 10 May 2020, 1 additional case of COVID-19 has been diagnosed since 8pm 9 May.

After further testing, one previously reported case has been excluded since 8pm on 9 May, meaning the total remains at 3,053.

During that time, 5,258 people were tested, compared to 9,515 people in the previous 24 hours.

Nearly 310,000 people have now been tested for COVID-19 in NSW. The state has one of the highest testing rates in the world.

NSW Health would like to thank those with symptoms for coming forward, getting tested and ensuring as many cases in the community are identified as quickly as possible.

There have been no new deaths in the reporting period.

There have been no new cases at Anglicare Newmarch House. There is a total of 69 cases linked to Newmarch House: 37 residents and 32 staff. There were 22 residents and 87 staff tested for COVID-19 on 9 May.

There are currently 107 COVID-19 cases being treated by NSW Health. This includes 7 people being treated in intensive care units. All 7 require ventilators.

There are now 2,517 people who have recovered from COVID-19 in NSW.

NSW Health is urging people with symptoms, including mild symptoms, to be tested to ensure as many cases of COVID-19 in the community are as identified as quickly as possible.

This is particularly important in several areas following the identification of locally acquired cases. The Canada Bay, Canterbury Bankstown, and Cumberland local government areas have been identified for further testing.
