The Temora community is being encouraged to provide their feedback on the design for the $80 million Temora Hospital redevelopment which was unveiled today.
Minister for Regional Health Ryan Park said the design provides the community with a first look at the redevelopment, which will provide a modern health facility and enhanced healthcare services for Temora and the surrounding region.
Other facilities and services to be delivered include perioperative facilities for surgery and procedures, community and allied health, ambulatory clinics, and pathology. Medical imaging facilities will also be enhanced.
Improved car parking for patients, staff and visitors, as well as separate emergency and service vehicle entry are also included as part of the design.
The hospital redevelopment will be located on the existing site, retaining and maximising its position overlooking Temora township. Light-filled spaces as well as direct views to the hospital’s beautiful gardens are also proposed as part of the project to create a welcoming and supportive environment for patients, visitors and staff.
Murrumbidgee Local Health District, the Local Health Advisory Committee, clinicians and local community members have all helped to inform the hospital’s design.
Community consultation sessions will be held on:
Construction of the redevelopment is expected to start in 2025.
The concept design can also be viewed at the Temora Council (Foyer) and Temora Health Service (Reception), and an online survey is available to provide feedback until Monday, 4 March 2024.
