The new RPA HealthOne Green Square will provide local communities with access to specialised healthcare services to reduce presentations to emergency departments.
The purpose-built health hub - which officially opened today – will provide the local community with early intervention and community health.
The facility will link patients to specialist clinical services such as diabetes, cardiology, gastro, and liver clinics that would traditionally take place at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital.
The HealthOne facility is designed to encourage patients to see a specialist before their condition gets to a stage where they require a trip to the emergency room.
This is done through a partnership with the local GP network who will refer patients to see the doctors at the Green Square facility.
The HealthOne program is part of the NSW Government’s ongoing commitment to providing out-of-hospital care, allowing us to ease pressure on the state’s busy emergency departments.
The two-storey RPA HealthOne facility features eight consultation rooms, six treatment rooms, a range of meeting rooms and a gymnasium for patient therapy.
RPA HealthOne Green Square provides a range of services to the local community, including:
In addition to the services being provided, RPA HealthOne are working closely with Tertiary Education partners including the University of Sydney and Central and Eastern Sydney Public Health Networks to provide an Academic Primary Health Care Unit to encourage more research in primary care.
The new facility is an invaluable addition to the Green Square community which is expected to reach a population of 61,000 by 2031.
The opening of RPA HealthOne Green Square forms part of a broader suite of initiatives, including the roll out of Urgent Care Services, to improve patient access to the most appropriate care and treatments and alleviate unnecessary presentations to our emergency departments.
