NSW Health staff from across the state have been recognised for their dedication to exceptional patient care at the 2022 NSW Health Awards.
Minister for Health Brad Hazzard and Minister for Regional Health and Mental Health Bronnie Taylor last night celebrated the incredible achievements of the 12 winners and 36 finalists from more than 171 nominations.
"Our healthcare staff continue to go above and beyond to care for their communities. The past few years have posed challenges for all healthcare workers and these awards are just one way we can acknowledge the dedication and skill they provide to our world-class health system," Mr Hazzard said.
"I'd like to take this opportunity to thank all of the staff across our incredible health facilities for their hard work and commitment to providing excellent patient care every day."
Now in its 24th year, the annual NSW Health Awards showcase the breadth of skills and health programs delivering significant outcomes to patients around the state.
Mrs Taylor said the NSW Health system continues to be a shining light worldwide thanks to its staff and their dedication to improving patient care.
NSW is a leader in health care and that's because of our incredible staff and the work they do each and every day for their patients," Mrs Taylor said.
"From the Monaro to Tweed Heads and everywhere in between, thank you to every single member of staff for your dedication, commitment and unwavering support to the communities you serve.
"Fourteen of the 36 finalists at tonight's awards are from regional NSW, which showcases the incredible work and care happening in the bush."
