The Specialist Mental Health Services for Older People (SMHSOP) Community Services Model of Care was published in 2017. The model of care defines how community (out-of-hospital) services for older people with mental illness should be delivered: person-centred, recovery-oriented, and attentive to consumers’ biopsychosocial needs.
