The Ministry's Youth Health and Wellbeing Lead Committee provides strategic leadership and oversight of NSW Health policies and programs relating to young people's health and wellbeing. The Lead Committee brings together relevant Ministry branches with responsibility for youth health policies and NSW Health system stakeholders to ensure a coordinated and strategic response. The Lead Committee is responsible for overseeing the implementation and review of the NSW Youth Health Framework.
The NSW Youth Health Coordination Group includes representation from NSW local health districts, specialty networks and the Ministry of Health. Meetings are held quarterly, primarily via teleconference. The NSW Youth Health Coordination Group works collaboratively to support access and delivery of NSW Health funded services for young people. This Group supports implementation of the NSW Youth Health Framework 2017-2024.
The NSW Health Young People's Advisory Council provides a voice for young people (aged 12-24) to influence NSW Health policies and programs relevant to them. The Council provides advice to the Youth Health and Wellbeing Lead Committee on young people's health and wellbeing priorities and experiences to inform the Lead Committee's work.
