Summary
Tragically some babies will die unexpectedly for no obvious reason in their sleep. This is called sudden unexpected death in infancy (SUDI). You can reduce the risk of SUDI by following the NSW Health safe sleeping recommendations every time you place your baby to sleep.
NSW Health provides this flyer to pregnant women and families soon after birth.
Translated versions of the Safe Sleeping Recommendations Flyer is available below.
