Summary

This publication is a revision of an earlier edition published in 1989.

It celebrates the achievements of child and family health services over the past 100 years and documents the changes in how services have been delivered over the years. It acknowledges the important role of nurses, paediatricians and allied health workers in providing child and family health services in NSW to generations of NSW children and families.

Our Babies charts the development of child and family health services, starting from the first baby clinic at 22 Henderson Road, Alexandria which opened on 24 August 1914 through to the present day.

Our Babies was released at the centenary of child and family health services conference on 18 May 2015, 'Nurturing for the Next Generation', co-hosted by NSW Kids and Families and the Nursing and Midwifery Office, NSW Health.
