Supervision training - Putting theory into practice: core skills series

​Our six on-demand core series courses offer participants the opportunity to practice essential work skills in a secure virtual environment. Through interactive exercises, case studies, and simulated scenarios, build the confidence and expertise needed for success in your role. The course also includes guides for both supervisees and supervisors to support continued learning beyond the online experience.

The series covers:

  • professional identity
  • conducting an assessment
  • reflective practice
  • risk assessment and case formulation
  • interviewing skills
  • thriving as a supervisee: making the most out of supervision.

Eligibility

While this content was originally developed for early career social workers, it is open to all AOD workers.

This training is fully funded by NSW Government for the alcohol and other drugs workforce in NSW and include people working in non-government services and NSW Health. There may be some availability for people working in related sectors such as mental health or prevention of violence and neglect.
