Two people have been hospitalised in NSW with severe opioid overdose caused by isotonitazepyne (also known as N-pyrrolidino isotonitazene).
Multiple additional fake oxycodone tablets containing nitazenes have been recently found in NSW, ACT, Queensland and New Zealand.
Yellow unmarked round tablets sold as 'OxyContin 40 mg' contained isotonitazepyne.
Blue scored round tablets marked with 'M' on front and '30' on reverse contained protonitazene.
Please note: Tablet appearance is not a reliable indicator of drug contents.
