​Consultation

Consult Opthalmology at Westmead Hospital and NSW Specialist Service for High Consequence Infectious Disease (or Infectious Diseases physician on-call at Westmead Hospital).

Treatment options

  • ​PO tecovirimat and topical trifluridine
  • Topical antibiotics
  • Ocular lubricants
  • IV vaccinia immunoglobulin, PO brincidofovir or IV cidofovir pending availability of other medications and assessed on case-by-case basis.​
