This Progress Report provides detail on the implementation of 44 recommendations of the Parliamentary Inquiry into Health Outcomes and Access to Health and Hospital Services in Rural, Regional and Remote New South Wales (Rural Health Inquiry), including completed actions and those that are in progress.
Many of the actions and improvements delivered are long-term and now embedded in business as usual to ensure sustainability. The report also shares stories directly relating to Rural Health Inquiry recommendations – from the perspective of patients, staff, and the community.
NSW Health acknowledges the importance of the Rural Health Inquiry and is committed to regularly sharing the progress being made to deliver on the 44 recommendations.
