The information outlines each of the transfer reasons and associated timeframes based on the current service level agreement.
Transfer from one hospital to another for specialist treatment (admission for care involving diagnosis, specialist review/consult, admission requiring theatre etc.).
Expected pick-up from request time: 120 minutes
Transfer from one hospital to another closer to home or to a rehabilitation unit for continuation of care.Expected pick-up from request time: 240 minutes
Transport to a medical or diagnostic appointment at a fixed time.Estimated arrival at destination: within 15 minutes of appointment time
Return transport following an appointment.Expected pick-up from request time: 30 minutes
Transport into routine renal dialysis unit for treatment.Estimated arrival at destination: within 30 minutes of appointment time
Returning home or to originating facility following routine renal dialysis treatment.Expected pick-up from request time: 60 minutes
Patient returning to their residence following discharge from an Emergency Department.Expected pick-up from request time: 90 minutes
Transport to a residential aged care facility for a first admission.Expected pick-up from request time: 120 minutes
Patient returning to their residence following discharge from award.Expected pick-up from request time: 240 minutes
A patient receiving end of life care transferring either inter facility or returning to their residence.Expected pick-up from request time: 120 minutes
Patient travelling to an airport to board a commercial flight.Expected pick-up from request time: 0 minutes*
