  Established by the Clinical Excellence Commission, plays an important role in the introduction of a state-wide approach to end of life care that ensures all patients who die under our care benefit from a consistent approach to individualised end of life care.
• National Consensus Statement: Essential elements for safe and high-quality end-of-life care
  The consensus statement was developed by the Australian Commission on Safety and Quality in Health Care and was endorsed by Australian Health Ministers in May 2015. It provides guidance for health services to develop their own systems for delivering safe, timely and high quality end-of-life care in a way that is tailored to their population, resources and available personnel, whilst being in-line with relevant jurisdictional or other programs.
