New eLearning module: Child Wellbeing and Child Protection for all health workers

New online training is now available to assist health workers to meet their child protection responsibilities. All health workers have a responsibility to promote the safety and wellbeing of children and young people, and their families.

The training is for all health workers.

The three part resource is designed to assist health staff including doctors, clinical and non clinical staff, Ministry staff and pillars to respond to vulnerable children, young people and their families.

The training also covers new content on how to assist adult survivors of childhood abuse and contributes to NSW Health’s commitment in responding to the Royal Commission into Institutional Responses to Child Sexual Abuse.

It is requested that all existing staff complete the training by 30 September 2018. Staff working directly with vulnerable children, young people and their families should complete their training as a priority. New staff should also be encouraged to complete the training within 2-4 weeks of commencing employment.

Log in to My Health Learning to complete your training as soon as possible.
