Applications close 11:59pm Sunday 23 February 2025
As part of the application process, you must complete an online application form and provide:
- a cover letter describing:
- why you want to be a nurse or midwife
- why it is important to have Aboriginal people working as nurses and midwives within the NSW public health system
- a statement of your Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander heritage.
- a resume outlining your educational qualifications and work experience
- evidence of full-time enrolment in a Bachelor of Nursing or Bachelor of Midwifery course
- a copy of results (if applicable)
- documentation that confirms your Aboriginality stating that you:
- are of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander descent
- identify as an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander and
- are accepted as such in the community where you live.

- details of two referees
- two (2) preferred hospital sites for your work placement.
It is important that you carefully consider the hospitals where you wish to apply for. Think about the distance required to travel. Rostered shifts are typically 7am – 3:30pm.
