What if I haven’t received my university enrolment yet?

If you have only received an acceptance letter into university, please supply this with your application. Please send your enrolment that details your subjects as soon as it becomes available to you to MOH-Aboriginalnursing@health.nsw.gov.au

If you are unable to attain acceptance to university prior to the interview period, your application will automatically be withdrawn.

What if I don’t have a confirmation of Aboriginality?

NSW Health require you to corroborate your Aboriginality to be eligible for an Aboriginal Nursing and Midwifery Cadetship. We would encourage you to look at Stepping Up - Help Me Hire - Aboriginality to look at your options to corroborate your Aboriginality or we can discuss further with you over the phone, please call on (02) 9859 5567.

When will I be notified if I am successful?

You will be notified if you have been successful for a cadet position by the local health district by Monday 31 March

What if I am unsuccessful?

The Nursing and Midwifery Office will contact you once we have been notified by the local health district of your first and second choice. If you meet the eligibility criteria for the NSW Health Undergraduate Scholarship or the NSW Health Aboriginal Enrolled Nurse to Registered Nurse Scholarship we will transfer you to the appropriate scholarship.
