NSW recorded no new locally acquired cases of COVID-19 in the 24 hours to 8pm last night; the 50th consecutive day without a locally acquired case.
One new case was acquired overseas, bringing the total number of cases in NSW since the beginning of the pandemic to 5,021.
There were 10,092 tests reported to 8pm last night, compared with the previous day’s total of 9,727.

It is important that everyone continues to watch out for any signs that could indicate COVID-19 and to get tested if they have even the mildest of symptoms. There is still a risk of COVID-19 spreading into the NSW community as new cases are regularly being detected among overseas arrivals.
NSW Health is treating 55 COVID-19 cases, one of whom is in intensive care but does not require a ventilator. Most cases (93 per cent) are being treated in non-acute, out-of-hospital care, including returned travellers in the Special Health Accommodation.
