As at 8pm Saturday 6 June 2020, there have been no new cases of COVID-19 diagnosed since 8pm 5 June.
One previously confirmed case has been excluded after further testing, meaning the total number of cases in NSW is now 3,109.
There were 9,207 tests carried out in the reporting period, compared with 12,751 in the previous 24 hours. More than 565,000 COVID 19 tests have been carried out in NSW.
NSW Health would like to thank those with symptoms for coming forward, getting tested and ensuring cases in the community are identified as quickly as possible.
There are currently 70 COVID-19 cases being treated by NSW Health. There are no people being treated in an intensive care unit.
In NSW, 2,723 people have recovered from COVID-19.
While there have no new cases recorded in the past 24 hours, the virus may be circulating among people in the community with mild symptoms. People with mild symptoms or those who show no obvious symptoms can unknowingly pass it to others.
It remains essential that everyone maintains social distancing of 1.5m and regularly washes their hands to minimise the risk of virus transmission.
NSW Health is again urging anyone feeling unwell – even with the mildest of symptoms such as a runny nose or scratchy throat – to isolate from others and get tested.
