Miranda Shaw: I’d like to acknowledge the traditional owners of the land we’re meeting on today and pay my respects of their elders past and present.

On 3 February this year, Sydney Local Health District introduced a new virtual hospital. Care is delivered to a range of patient cohorts from a virtual care centre with a multidisciplinary team.

Patients have access to our care centre 24/7.

Freya Raffan: In seven months, we’ve delivered care to almost 4,000 patients. Overwhelmingly, the response from our patients is that they find the virtual care accessible and our clinicians to be kind and caring.
