Overview

In 2022, there were similar rates of chronic hypertension reported among pregnant Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander women who gave birth in NSW compared with pregnant non-Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander women who gave birth in NSW. Overall, the rate of hypertension in pregnancy was higher in Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander women who gave birth in NSW (6.6%) compared with non-Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander women (5.2%).​

  2. Cells with counts less than 5 are suppressed, and other cells may also be hidden to prevent back-calculation. These cells are marked with n.p.
