Overview
Between 2018 and 2022, the percentage of pregnant Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander women in NSW who commenced antenatal care at less than 14 weeks gestation increased from 73.6% to 79.1%, and the percentage that commenced antenatal care at less than 20 weeks gestation increased from 86.9% to 88.4%. By contrast, 79.4% of pregnant non-Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander women in NSW commenced antenatal care at less than 14 weeks gestation in 2022 and 92.7% at less than 20 weeks gestation.
